Field Trip Journeys at Berks Nature

In our world, curiosity, wonder and imagination are the inspiration for scientific inquiry and discovery. At Berks Nature, we know that human behavior affects the future of our planet, and a personal connection to our world is the catalyst to inspire action. We deeply believe that nature is essential to our quality of life.

To this end, Berks Nature is proud to partner with public school districts and private institutions to provide immersive, educational field journey experiences.

Connect your students to nature with an educational hike through the wetland, meadow, and forest trails that surround The Nature Place – Get your hands dirty as you explore the stream – Explore scientific wonders in our open-air classrooms.

Berks Nature would like to guide your pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students as they think deeply, apply knowledge, solve problems, and process what they have learned while exploring the environment and sustainable features of The Nature Place campus.

We offer:

  • Field trips for grades Pre-K – 12 – A field trip is a bit of adventure and a lot of learning about a specific field of science.
  • Various educational options based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) STEELS Standards at our location or in your classroom.
  • GLOBE (Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment) elementary and secondary protocol training for educators.
  • Professional learning opportunities and Act 48 credits for educators.
The possibilities are endless when you bring your students to The Nature Place!

The Pennsylvania Department of Education Science, Technology and Engineering, Environmental Literacy, Sustainability (STEELS) Standards frame the lessons we can offer your students. Join us on a Field Journey!
